To this day, New York’s Empire State Building remains an astonishing feat of engineering. Constructed in just 1 year and 45 days, it rises 102 storeys above Manhattan. Tales of the skyscraper’s record-breaking schedule continue to astound the industry, with many asking, “why can’t we build that fast today?”
